We started out with one nursing home and a shortage of volunteers -- and our inability to say "no more" -- resulted in the large number. We were recently asked by the Area Agency on Aging to pioneer a new program as volunteer conservators (or guardians). Getting this off the ground may be very complicated. We really need a concerted effort if we are going to be able to improve the nursing home situation. If we seniors don't do it nobody else is going to. If we can help you please send us an e-mail.
