: My Dad is in the nursing home for rehab after hip surgery. He gets dementia now and some say it is temporary
: and some say its permanent. He is scheduled to come home on Friday. He will come home to my Mom who is
: 87, he is 88. Will his memory come back? Has anyone had this similar experience?
**Sometimes this is due to anesthesia. Most older people in 70-80's have a harder time after surgery. They would do better if the doctor would be more careful with the dose....
Make sure he gets some vitamins, and exercise. Some get better, some people never do. Just give him lots of TLC.
