Thanks for the response! It's funny, I only came back to check this page, because of the concerns people were expressing over the fact that few of us had submitted stories of being healed. Well, I can say that for the last week or so, i have not had the ghastly lump feeling in my throat. :)
I will attribute this success to one of two things.
1) I was prescribed Wellbutrin, which I have been on for about a month. The doctor, who believed this lump feeling to be related to depression, suggested that an anti-depressant such as Wellbutrin might do the trick. (Apparently, Wellbutrin does not have sexual side effects in most males, and is also used in smoking cessation programs) Well, I have cut back the smoking significantly (down to 1-2 cigs a day, and I'm hoping to be butt free in the near future) Perhaps the anti-depressant worked. I do feel a little more chipper nowadays, and the feeling has nearly completely disappeared.
2) The other major change in lifestyle (in accordance with what Henry suggested) is a tough cardio workout plan. I have been going to the gym 4 nights a week, doing anything between 20 and 40 minutes of tough cardio a night. (I mix in the weights to look better too!) I noticed an instant improvement in the throat, especially right after the workout. After a time, it just stopped coming back.
I'm not sure if either of these treatments are necessarily the cure for the lump, but they certainly worked for me. Maybe, in the end, it was the feeling that I was doing SOMETHING that would make it go away, and mentally that was enough to make it stop.
I wish you all the best in finding a cure for your lumps. You can rest assured, however, that I will be back if that dreaded feeling ever returns......looking for answers.
Yours,
Chris
