I have been wondering, after reading all the comments
about the lump in the throat, if anyone sees the actual lump on the outside of the neck?
I have had all the symptoms. Mine started after a hysrectomy
surgery. After a CT scan, ultra sound for thyroid and a barrium swallow,
one doctor of four says he thinks it could have been damage done to my throat
from the tube inserted during surgery. That a nerve could have been damaged
and causes muscle spasms. That there is no proof of this nor no cure, he says.
I will have to live with this. He prescribed muscle relaxers, which only put me to sleep
and of course you wouldn't know what world you are in. I am not taking anything
but advil. At times it is so aggravating and painful. My neck swells and you
can see lumps mostly on the left side but it swells so much sometimes it looks like I have a goiter.
It never goes away. Does this sound like anyone? If anyone else can see their lumps or swelling please let me know. I have suffered with this since
September 2001.
