Drinking cannot be an issue as long as it is done in responsible manner. This still stays true in the world of aging where drinking can be a pleasure, and not a problem.

Alcoholism shouldn’t let you get included in the statistics where one of of ten seniors have drinking problems. You can jest be like Fran Treu, a female senior, who enjoys drinking as a form of pleasure and socialization.

“I usually don’t drink it at home because I’m home alone. But I do enjoy it out with friends with a nice dinner,” she stated.

Being an occasional drinker doesn’t allow her to get drunk the entire night, as her cocktail beverage serves her for additional enjoyment in meeting with her friends. In fact, what she gets from social drinking supports the advantages stated by Stanford University health officials, who contented that:

  1. It has a soothing effect.

  2. Drinking is a part of activity during socialization.

  3. It can make you feel at ease.

    Hi.

Nice blog and well presented. I was just browsing and came across it.

A lady in a local residential home who is over 100 swears her longevity is from drinking a bottle of Guinness every day. So I can’t see anything detrimental in responsible drinking.

My own blog is in the wellness health and fitness niche.

    Best wishes,
    Mark
