Physical fitness courses prove more effective in keeping them not just in shape, nut also in keeping them healthy as the seniors take a program designed to make them more physically active and cheerful.
Such fitness program is open to everyone, and those who are members of Humana Insurance Gold Card. Some of its course include “Muscle Strength and Range of Motion,” heart-improving exercises, and Tai Chi class. Such stretch tubing, hand weights, and rubber ball are its tools in performing exercises that aims for the betterment of the body parts that commonly grow weaker during aging like heart and muscles.
Jennie Kannedy, 70, from Council Bluffs has been a member of this class since April. “I think it was because of the couple months I’d been coming here,” she said. “It makes me feel better. I feel invigorated…and a little tired.”
