Just because you are no longer driving your own home doesn’t mean that you can no longer have fun outside. Such a thought is impressed in “No Cars, No Worries!” project for Camden Seniors. To prove that they can still enjoy even when they are just using public transportation, the old fellows are given several trips like a tour in The Rocks in Sydney and Gledswood Winery.
A member of NSW Council of Social Service, and also a resident of Camden, Betty Scott, expresses her views about this project. "The fun days out are a wonderful opportunity for people to make use of their pensioner excursion ticket to enjoy a cheap and cheerful day out and, hopefully, make some new friends along the way .”
Since she believes that traveling, even without personal vehicles can still be fun, she enumerates some of its advantages such as gaining new friends, having fun, being independent, knowing how to commute, and even widening horizons.
