A community with a capacity of 550 seniors or more will be established by the Medical Center of Independence to provide programs and shelter for active seniors.
It might take an estimated $12-million community with recreational areas such as theater, pub, indoor and outdoor pools, and bowling alley. The purpose of these amenities is for the enrichment of the active seniors who keep fit with several games and sports. On the other hand, the location would be the former MCI campus which will be renovated.
