Old folks can now live in their home and in the senior community at the same time with the program named Living Independence for the Elderly Care which is designed for the residents of Elderly Erie County.

Since there are seniors who are not comfortable sleeping at another shelter, they can stay in their own home while having proper care that a senior community offers. This is the aim of the program where the seniors are fed, bathed, and given proper medication.

During the evening, when they are already given the right treatment, they will be escorted back to their home and do the same routine when the sun rises. With this, the Village of Luther Square will offer the same proper service starting 7 in the morning.

The chief executive of the Village of Luther Square, Mark Gusek, says "It’s much more than a senior day-care center. I refer to it as an outpatient nursing home.”
