It is also never too soon to talk about delicate matters such as money and insurance policies. Of course, you have to make sure that your parents are well funded and that they have their testaments prepared just in case anything happens. Technology can be really frustrating especially for a senior. All those gadgets can tend to be so boring that they would rather sleep. Yes, that is right, just sleep and snore the whole day. After all, sleeping can waste a lot of precious hours and eventually, when they wake up, the day is through. Some cool routine right? Hopefully its not their plan of spending the remainder of their lives.

Most seniors suffer from localized or generalized Pruritus or better known as itchiness. For some, it is just a minor deal but further scratching may lead to more serious problems such as swelling, huge wounds and may even cause a lot of skin infection that can be very serious.
Causes of pruritus include dry skin or rashes. Generally, the inflammations in the skin added with the itchy feeling is pruritus in itself. Some prescription drugs can also cause pruritus. So it would be best if you try to consult your physician. For some, itchiness is just a manifestation of a more serious disease like liver disease, lymphoma, leukemia or iron deficiency anemia.
To treat this, you must first find out the root cause of the itchiness. Then, medication should be applied to help you stop scratching. Consult your dermatologist for the best ointment of medication to apply.

Sjogren’s Syndrome is an autoimmune disorder wherein the immune cells attack and destroy the glands that produce tears and saliva. It is also known to be associated with rheumatic disorders. It can damage the body with effects that may worsen the performance of organs. Some may undergo just minor ones like dryness of the mouth and eyes while others experience good health but afterwards they will experience serious medical illness. While some people can treat the symptoms easily, some are forced to cope up with the problems like blurry visions and mouth infections.
There are still no treatments for this sickness but the symptoms can be eased. Dryness for example can be eased by moisture therapies.
