For seniors, having a healthy diet is important. A balanced meal brings in a lot of health benefits such as increased energy, strength, better balance, good skin condition and many more. However, it is not just the food intake that matters, the way the food was taken is similarly important.
Chewing the food well is not just an old cliche but it really is important to chop the food into smaller particles for easy digestion and to extract nutrients. Eating under stress is a big no. Stress makes a person eat a lot of food as a scapegoat to release tension. Also, listen to your body when eating. Stop when you feel full. Eat early and eat often is a good way to take food into your system. A good breakfast is a terrific jumpstart for every person and following it up with full lunch and ending with a good dinner is probably the best way to cap the day.
