Tai chi is the chinese way of accumulating energy for the body through its slow movement and breathing techniques. Other exercises dissepate energy while tai chi keeps a senior’s body refreshed after the exercise. It is known to have a lot of great health benefits.
It has been confirmed by recent studies that after 20 minutes of Tai Chi, a senior will have an improved balance to reduce the risk of falls, improved leg and lower body strength, increased flexibility, help with arthritis pain, aid in the recovery of injuries and after 12 weeks, they will have a small but a very significant drop in their blood pressure.
However, not all forms of tai chi are concentrated on health. There are deadly forms of tai chi used as martial arts. For a senior, health tai chi is more than enough to keep them healthy and strong.
