Alzheimer’s is a dreaded disease. This hurts the entire family of any senior who has the disease. One of those families include mine. My grandfather has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease last year.
He begins forgetting things at a specific period of time which has been pretty devastating for us especially on his grandchildren. On top of this problem, he has been having a lot of trouble falling asleep. He wanted to take those sleeping pills that he used to take but then doctors have warned us that medications should be carefully administered since it may cause more problems in the long run.
It was then that I learned how delicate an Alzheimer’s victim is. All we could do now is understand and care for him. So if your senior is having problems with this disease, try to understand them and show them utmost care. Also, make sure that you watch every medicine that he takes in.
