Click! Click! There goes that sound again as Mrs. Scott walks across the hallway. She thought it was her shoes. But to her surprise, it was her knee. She had it replaced a couple of months ago. The surgery was good but now, the sound is back and the clicking is driving her insane.
What is this sound? Experts say that this "Crepitus" in a joint replacement or in the general area of the replacement indicates a problem with the artificial joint itself. The development of that clicking sound all of a sudden merits an additional contact with the physician and more importantly, with the surgeon who performed the operation.
