Who would have thought that even a senior could join a social networking site? I was in a retirement home a few hours ago to visit my grandmother. When I knocked at the door, she was with her friend and they were laughing pretty good. I entered the room to join in the fun and saw that they are online.
They recently joined a new social networking site very similar to MySpace, Facebook and Friendster. The thing is, this is just a new network. There are like less than a thousand members yet but I sure think that it is slowly growing (considering the fact that my grandmother is already a member). I asked them why they joined it instead of the popular ones. They said that the popular ones looked pretty complicated unlike this one. It’s called 3GB community. I thought about it and read a couple of reviews. It seemed to be good and has a bright future ahead of it.
All the while I thought this networking sites are designed for teens and young professionals. Who would have thought that my grandmother would like it. But either way, they are having fun. I might as well join in.
