Yesterday, the Gloucester County Division of Senior Services gave out vouchers for senior citizens so that they can buy fresh products worth $20 in Gloucester County’s farmers market.
For the seniors to qualify, they must be at least 60 years of age and have an annual income of less than $19,240 for a single household and less than $25,900 for a household of two persons. Senior services gave a rough estimate that the vouchers would cover around 1,500 senior citizens.
This is actually something that is pretty helpful considering the fact that grocery items and fresh food’s prices are slowly increasing. These vouchers would surely help our dearest senior citizens in their everyday lives. Not only will they be able to spend it in something delicious but it is also convenient for them since the vouchers were given personally.
I hope that more and more vouchers would be distributed to senior citizens in order to ease their lives a bit more.
