Thirsty?

senior.jpg(HealthDay News) — A glass of water can suffice for thirst. But if you feel that you are always thirsty, this could be a sign of a more serious problem. I could remember how my grandfather was pretty thirsty almost once in awhile. Its a good thing that there is no problem.

Here are the most common causes of excessive thirst:

1. Blood loss or loss of body fluids caused by a health condition that you may not be aware of.
2. Diabetes or diabetes impedus.
3. A side effect of drugs which include anticholinergics, demeclocycline, diuretics or phenothiazines.
4. Loss of water or salt caused by not drinking enough water, sweating, diarrhea or vomiting.
