Exercise is good for the health. For seniors, it is a plus. They gain a lot of benefits from exercise. But of course, when you exercise, you have to wear proper gear. Here are the things that you have to wear whil you are running outdoors.
1. If the weather is cold, dress in layers. The one closest to the skin must be designed to take moisture away.
2. Put a middle layer that can absorb sweat and insulate you and the outer layer must be able to protect you from wind and rain.
3. If it is really cold, avoid exposing your skin. If you could not avoid areas from being exposed, apply petroleum jelly.
4. Choose a good running shoe with shock absorption.
5. Replace your shoes every 9-12 months.
6. During hot summer months, run late in the evening or early in the morning when it is a lot cooler.
