Creating New Possibilities In Your Life

I can understand those seniors who felt that there is nothing likely to come into their lives at their age anymore. Just imagine this: you are already retired or may be a little late to switch careers, the kids have already flown away from the nest and living their own lives now, add to that the fact that you lost your partner and there is no one at this point.. life seems to be purposeless, doesn’t it? However, you should know better than to fall into this trap and give up.
It is important to remember that once you accepted that your life is without a point or purpose, you are opening your doors for depression to come in. Life itself represents possibilities; as long as you are living and breathing, there are possibilities. And, when there are possibilities, there is hope. Hope is positive. It is like inviting positive energies to come into your life. So you see how it came in full circle?
Now, more often than not, we find possibilities presenting themselves to us. Sometimes, we even miss them or overlook them just because we are too busy to notice. In a senior’s life, it is quite different as waiting is not anymore an option. If you want possibilities to be there, you have to create them, make them possible.
I remember a friend saying that if I want something so badly, I have to “work” it. I think that applies too in creating new possibilities in our lives:
•    Don’t get stuck to what you believe you are. If you want to make your own possibilities then you should do something different to make it happen. To hear yourself say “impossible” already contradicts your desire to make possibilities. Dare it.
•    Consider your losses as beginnings. Your loss is not the end, it should be a beginning of something else and you as the “old, wise” man should be able to see right through it. Never treat or consider yourself as a victim of the situation, instead be one step ahead of it and consider it as a preparation to something more worthwhile.
•    Personal excellence is a continuous journey. Notice how great men of time died without ever stopping in their search for personal excellence. Only fools consider themselves accomplished.
•    Learn to forgive. Grudges will only hold you back and will prevent you from moving on which will only hinder your way to making possibilities in your life.
•    Learn something new everyday. It’s never too late to learn new things and by learning new things, you help yourself make do things a lot easier or do things that are otherwise impossible to do.

60 and Sexy!

Some seniors who are past 60 may not feel as sexy as they used to when they were younger. They may think sex is for the younger generation since they have attained old age. However[...]
