Seniors who turn 50 may neglect to take care of simple things that can enhance their beauty. As an elderly woman, you can take simple measures to maintain your feminine look and have a happy life. Forget the next “new thing” that you think might help enhance your beauty at your old age. You only need to get unstuck from beauty and health blunders that inhibit looking fabulous and showing off your beauty.
Some older women over 50 make biggest beauty blunders that ruin their appearance. The beauty mistakes can easily be avoided. Some of the beauty faux pas are as follows:
• Wearing too much makeup
Too much makeup can change your appearance and make you look older. You should apply makeup sparingly. Keep it light with the right concealer, eye shadow, foundation, pencils, blush and liners.
• Dieting to lose weight
Dieting may not be the best course of action when losing weight in your 50’s. Eat small amounts of healthy foods that will keep hunger away while drinking a lot of water. Being specific on diets and food categories may not be sustainable.
• Dressing young
You can still dress to impress while you are in your 50’s. You don’t have to wear to look young but you can dress to look great. Wearing clothes that are best suited for a teenager or a woman in her 20’s may not do you any justice.
• Wearing baggy and loose clothes
Clothes that do not define your body will not bring out your feminine side. Baggy and loose clothes hide your body outline and you may end up looking a lot heavier.
• Putting on the wrong bra
Choosing the right bra can make a big difference in how you dress. Depending on the clothes you are wearing at a particular time, you need the right bra that makes you comfortable whether the outer clothes are heavy, light, smooth or white.
• Smoking
If you are hitting your 50’s and you are still smoking, then its time to quit. Smoking can have severe effects on your skin, nails, teeth and face. Smoking can speed up wrinkles and make your skin look pale.
• Sunbathing and tanning
Avoid the hot sun at all costs. Your skin is sensitive as you get older therefore you need to stay away from sun rays. Exposure to too much sun may cause various skin cancers as well as skin dehydration.
