The business is family owned and operated. I would like very much to give something to some seniors. I have found over the years that they have great amounts of wisdom to give and invaluable experience. We are looking for sales people for our product line. This would involve going to various gift shops, bridal shops and retail shops to promote our product. If you can do this as a couple, its even better-but don't expect double pay unless there are more than 2 or 3 kids to tend. When the child(ren) have lost one of their grandparents, their parents tend to 'adopt' you too- they miss their mom or dad- or their grandparents too.

Jobs delivering papers -- I am an older woman on disability.But I can work some partime. I was just got a job doing delivery for one of the weekly magazines locally. I work one day a week. I ask the supervisor why they did not post on the senior`s web page for other seniors to do this job. It`s a great income helper for seniors on social security that need a little extra income. He told me they have to pay to post on your listings, and thought it could be too expensive. Would you please ellaborate on my question to the above? Good work -- I want to thank you for this site. It will grow as more seniors find it useful to them. I had my 71st birthday yesterday and am feeling well. I wish there were more ways for seniors to make a buck nowadays. I am ok. I publish three tabloid quarterly newspapers for communities in South Texas, on the border in Donna. Other seniors could do the same. I use IBM PageMaker and prepare my pages camera ready for the presses. I wish I could handle more. There are tremendous possibilities in this as daily and weekly newspapers seek the bad news and the communities have no professional way to tell their complete stories to their residents. I really don't have the energy or finances for much expansion. The demand on the border is tremendous. My idea is proven and tremendously expandable. Others can do the same. I don't really mean to be running an Ad -- just telling what can be done. My wife, Della Rae, and I moved here about 10 years ago from Colorado, Montana and Utah. Keep it up. Waiting on Tables -- My mother spent 40 years as a homemaker raising her family. At 65 she elected to go back to work. She loved waiting on customers in restaurants. She loved having others enjoy the meals she served them. She loved the contact with people. She worked till she was 80 -- 15 years as a senior citizen, sometimes 15 hours a day, waiting on groups or individuals and she loved every minute of it. She is now 93, lives alone, drives her car everyday and is enjoying her life. She found that helping others is rewarding regardless of the work you elect to do -- if you find it useful to others it will be good for you.

Bagging groceries -- I learned that a number of banking officials, when they retired, found that bagging groceries at their local market was very rewarding and not only did they supplement their income but they met a lot of local people. (Also, their wives where thrilled since they were out of the house -- an unexpected benefit).
