Who does the Federal Government Owe?

I have yet to have heard a politician or an economist come up with an analysis of just who owes how much to whom. Does the US govt. owe trillions to me to Chase, Hanover, Chemical, Metropolitan, Japan, the UK? Everything I read seems to point to the never voiced "fact" that the United States owes its right front pocket what has come out of it's left back pocket! Billions are owed by the general fund to Social Security, other billions to citizens, other billions\trillions to publicly owned corporartions. This is the way "business" is done and I defy anyone to name one government out there which lives within its budget!

The issue isn't morality, it isn't the national budget. When a country is PRODUCTIVE none of the political economic illusions seem to matter. It would serve us best to get back to making things other than hot air and paper manifestos preaching one form of voodoo economics or another. When more people are productive and contribute to society things seem to get better. When the taker-to-producer ratio goes askew so does everything else.
