Now you say your employer contributions doubled your contribututions this is true. It does not go to S S. in your name, but only as a tax your employee pays quarterly on total employee payroll no names are included. But lets double the figure to $43,923.44 now lets say this hypothetical person receives approximately $12,000.00 like you a year from social security, that adds up to about 3.66 years to and you have received the total amount you origionally put in.

What are the facts ?
People who have been retired in the previous years (up to this date) will receive 3 to 4 times what they ever paid in, even adjusting for interest they would have earned had they invested the money for them selves. There is no account at Social Headquarters where your money was keptwith your name on it.

It is all a paper thing, the money is not there, & fewer & fewer people are entering the work force to make up the deficit that is accuring .

I could go on for ever debunking every thing you think you know, but your type frankly drive me nuts you conviently forget the facts of what actually happened and when the truth is pointed out to you you still deny it. Yes you did pay some money in but not all you think & I think too many of our golden agers today (& I am a golden ager) are some of the most selfish uncaring people I have ever meant.

It's all me me me & I am sick of it. I want my Grandchildren to have a little of the America I knew still their for them when they grow up (I have 6).

Social Security was never meant to be a full retirement fund as some people seem to think, It was just suppose to be a little extra, but too many people lived the good life spent everything & said the government will take care of me.
