The writer of this response makes the same mistake made by most people who are enamored of academia. That being "The desire of every student to have an academic education". We must provide a living education.

I agree with you re:establishing trade schools. May I make some observations?

In Western Europe, i.e. Netherlands and Germany, trade schools are more correctly referred to as Craft schools because that is more accurately a description of the quality of the graduates. In addition, such schooling accompanies an apprentice program which turn out superbly trained craftsmen. Don't we all appreciate European workmanship?

Do our existing tradeschools create the equal?

Can we do as well or rather do such quality schools exist in the USA?
