Welfare Reform -- Opinion

In my opinion, welfare mothers are placed in a no-win situation, with or without welfare reform. This so-called "welfare reform " makes things worse. If mothers must work, who will take care of their children?

There are not enough day care facilities, and those that exist are all too often substandard. Day care workers are among the lowest wage earners in the nation, hence, the industry does not attract quality people, who can earn a great deal more in other industries. Until there is day care reform, it is a cruel hoax to speak of "workfare" as a "reform."
