: Thank you for posting this....I just got back from my second interview today and though they had me all hyped up and excited about this job...I'm glad that I found all this out now..b/c hindsight truly is 20/20 and a lot of he inconsistencies add up now...First off, I do agree it's good to be yourself at work but my first impression for coming to an office job was that they were dressed down quite a bit and swore a lot...also when I arrived for what I thought was a receptionist's position the sign above the office said something about investigative services..so I thought I was applying as a receptionist for an investigator's office... wondered why there was a paper sign attached with scotch tape to the mail drop box that said in big letters and pencil "Essence Management", even though the actual office was in a nice plaza and was nice inside. When I had my first interview they told me about a Management Trainee Position that was available in conjunction with the recepionist position if I would rather try for that...well I thought compared to the $5.50-$6.50 they were offering for the receptionist positon and I had some University under my belt, and great leadership skills...(Even though I found it strange that they said it didn't matter that I'd had no previous management experience) How happy was when I realized I made it to the second interview...which when I got there two days later, I realized about seven other girls had the same happy news..It seems we were all over-qualified for the receptionist position...I began to wonder was there ever really a receptionist position available and if so where was it who got it??? The answer obviously is no...So after coming home just today all psyched and nervous about whether I'll get chosen..I decided to look up the company to see if I could find their website..just for fun and info. not expecting to find all of this...but boy am I glad I did...Oh sure I feel stupid...into being conned to apply for a receptionist position that never was and me thinking I was special I was being offered this great management opportunity that I now realize is just a come on offered to everyone across the nation...ad I'm little heartbroken...I thought it such a great opportunity, had such high hopes...but now I see they weren't honest..and though everyone has their own opinions, and there are disgruntled employees, tere's too much here for me to ignore, added up with the odditys and inconsistencies I saw with my own two eyes. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." and one more as my parents always said...I gotta trust my gut on this one" Even if they're not a scam, they weren't very forthright and honest about the position they were offering and really seeking applicant's for.
: TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS!!! and thanks to all those who posted here it really helped me get beyond all the hyped up talk and see them for what they really were and the job they really were offering, not what I wanted it to be!!!
