I recently was hired by a company called Divisional Management in Indianapolis, IN to "manage my own crew of 25 - 30 people" selling these fragrance renditions. I got through the first several interviews and was more then excited about what I thought to be a GREAT opportunity to make a lot of money! What I figured out on only the first day of training... was that I had to sell 50 bottles by the next day... at $30.00 a piece. I worked my ass off trying to get everyone I know to buy some of this product and when I went to my parents they said it sounded fishy. I sat down and told them all about the job and as we talked we put things together. Number one, I wasn't allowed to give 2 weeks notice to my current job... this was odd.. most busineses promote professionalism... not this one! Number two, I never even filled out an application! I answered a few simple questions, thats it! Number three, usually at a new job you're required to fill out the regular paperwork and show two forms of I.D. for tax purposes... I wasn't asked to do this either! The thing that got me though was the following statement made by the branch manager "You're friends and family may discourage you from taking this position... but we feel like if you are that easily swayed by other people then you're not really capable of managing your own branch!" This was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard! They were preparing us, because they knew they were a scam. I decided against going the next day. Whether it was a scam ot not... I didn't know. But what I did know was that we were working our asses off, and we wouldn't really be making the money. The people higher in the pyramid would be. Since then I have discovered this site, and several others and I am relieved that I didn't go back that 2nd day! I hope somehow the word can get out about this heartless "company".
