: : It's seems this scam has traveled to Atlanta, GA I'm glad that I decided to check out this Larry person before I got myself further in debt with a no win situation. Thanks so much!

I'm definitely one of the lucky ones who found out about this scam as early as I did. I just got in Chicago a few days and was eager to get my first job. It said on the Chicago Tribune ad: Management positions available, free trips, 500 per week, 22 full time positions, no experience necessary. Of course I adswered the ad... Anyway there were a lot of people interviewing and we went through two group interviews. What struck me the first time was their office at Wabash was in a building that looks fit to be condemned and interior of their office looked liked a dirty warehouse with fake plant decors. Funny, there was no air-conditioning too. After the 1st interview I really didn't want to go back because I couldn't imagine working there... But they asked me to go back for a second interview so I got a little excited... There were about 30-40 people who were hired by Diamond All Star INt'l (Scentura creations in disguise). Most of them were in their 20s, just like me. About 15 were in the age range of 40-65. Some of them looked so professional that it looked so funny that they were working for this dilapidated office. What really got me worried the first day was their so-called training had as jumping out from our seats screaming "attitude check", and watching motivational videos. There was this guy who was a motivational speaker for scentura and he said he left his Administrative assistant job because he loved scentura so much. But then I wondered if he really was an AA because he couldn't even spell perfume, attitude and motivation right... So much for a former AA... By the end of the day they wanted us to sell perfumes as much as 30 bottles in one night... I'm not used to peddling bottles so I just decided to borrow some money from my relatives... It's a good thing I didn't borrow that $600 though...

: I decided to quit Diamond All Star the following day when they asked us to sign an "Independent Clause" agreement. It was a legal paper which makes Diamond All-Star and Scentura creations not accountable for any actions we made. That we are "not part of the company", and will they will not be held liable for any actions by us...
: I got suspicious at once and asked why we needed this form. They told me that it was so that I could receive my money during training. But I told them that they already said they would release our pay only after training. I think they got irritated by my question because after that they didn't entertain any of my other questions. So I really didn't find any reason to comply with the "independent clause" form. That night I decided to look up this scentura, I found their website www.scentura.com. It was a poorly designed website and was very slow to load. This heightened my suspicions more because why would a company who says it is able to literally donate to employees "capital", have such a poor website. I mean even my website looks and functions better!
: So thank God, I found all these other post. If I didn't have I would have probably gone back another day with $600 down the drain. If I hadn't I would probably be peddling around town this "rendition" perfumes. If I hadn't I'd probably be one of those people who was going out of state doing "Fun cars" or something of that sort... Thank God! Of course I lost time and a little bit of money. I actually turned down 2 "real" job offers, but at least I found out about the SCAM early. It's been 2 months now since that experience. I'm glad I found a real job now at the money markets...

: I saw their ads again a week ago. Please don't answer that ad. The ad is similar to the one I said above. Do yourself a favor; if it's too good to be true, it probably is; if it's "looks" unprofessional, it really is.

: : THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! BE CAREFUL. STOP WHILE YOU STILL CAN THEY WILL SUCK EVERYTHING OUT OF U. TRUST ME I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE. I WORKED FOR 5 WEEKS IN THEIR SOCALLED "TRAINING PROGRAM". IT HAS GOTTEN ME SO BEHIND ON MY BILLS AND EVERYTHING ELSE. IM GLAD TO HAVE READ THIS WHEN I DID I ONLY WISH I SAW IT SOONER. PEDDLING PERFUME FOR A LIVING DOES NOT PAY OFF NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU!! THIS IS ILLEGAL AND WHEN YOU GET ARRESTED OR FINED BY THE POLICE THE COMPANY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND YOU! YOU DO NOT HAVE A SOLICITING LICENSE AND THE COMPANY CANNOT CARRY ONE FOR EVERY PERSON IN THE OFFICE. THEY WILL TELL YOU THEY DO! YOU NEED A LICENSE IN EVERY CITY YOU SOLICIT IN. THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT U ARE NOT SOLICITING BUT WHY DO U RUN FROM PARKING LOT TO PARKING LOT HOPING TO NOT GET CAUGHT? I HOPE THAT WHOEVER READS THIS TAKES IT SERIOUSLY THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE!

: : I ALSO WAS IN THE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR 2 WEEKS. THEY MADE IT SOUND VERY PROFESSIONAL AND LED ME TO BELIEVE I WOULD OWN MY OWN OFFICE. WHO IS LARRY HAHN ANYWAY? JUST A NAME THEY HAVE COME UP WITH? I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG WHEN THEY WERE TELLING US TO LIE TO SELL THE PRODUCT. EX:: WE JUST GOT BACK FROM A FRAGRANCE SHOW.
: : WE HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A SHOW NOR HAS ANYONE IN THE COMPANY. THEY ARE NOTHING MORE THAN MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS. GETTING EVERYONE EXCITED AND HOPING TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL WILL NOT HAPPEN. PLEASE OPEN YOUR EYES AND COME TO REALITY THIS IS A SCAM. THIS IS ALSO DANGEROUS THINK ABOUT STAYING OUT ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT PEDDLING SOME CHEAP COLONGE FOR A FEW DOLLARS. THIS CAN BE DANGEROUS!
