Abused Grandmother needs Help

Approximately two months ago, my grandmother was raped, robbed of her money and left for God knows what in Elrod, North Carolina. I have tried to get my father to go down there and speak with the authorities on her condition and to find out what recourse he can take on her behalf. Unfortunately, his disabilities have rendered him useless in this endeavour. So I'm asking your readership to provide me with any resources (phone numbers, names, etc.) that I can use to prosecute the individual who abused my grandmother and also find a safe haven for her in her last years.
