Traditional Cure For Abdominal BloatingReply to this Comment
"Stomach gas is an extremely universal problem which largely results due to improper eating habits."
Just as the problem is extremely common, so has modern medicine derived novel ways to keep the problems in check - antacids.
How modern antacids work?
As the name suggests, antacids work by using a base to neutralize the acid. These "neutralizers" are generally salts of calcium, magnesium, sodium or aluminum. Therefore, they use an external influence rather than helping the body to use its own power to treat stomach acidity.
Side effects
Sometimes, certain antacids can cause side-effects such as headaches, dizziness, constipation, diarrhea, stomach pains and in some case fatigue. Long - term effects with continued use may include damage to the kidneys, heart or bones.
The healthier alternative
Certain herbs can have extraordinary effects on the digestive process by improving absorption. Tablets made of these herbs use the power of nature's own bounty to treat stomach gas, stomach pains and abdominal bloating.
Amritdhara is one such ayurvedic herbal preparation that is very effective in relieving excess flatulence, stomach gas, stomach pains and abdominal bloating. It is very effective in cases of distension and heaviness in the stomach. It dramatically reduces acidity in the stomach .
What it contains
Each ml. of Amritdhara solution contains:
Ajwain (Ajowan or Carum Copticum) extract: 0.200 gms.
Pudina (Mint) extract: 0.050 gms.
Clove oil: 0.002 ml.
Camphor: 0.400 gms.
Eucalyptus Oil: to make 1 ml.
Ajowan (Ajwain) is a very effective herb for relieving indigestion flatulence, and spasmodic disorders.
Mint extracts have excellent carminative and digestive properties. They provide quick natural relief from stomachache, gas and indigestion without any side effects.
Camphor, in small doses camphor warms the stomach, stimulates secretion, increases peristalsis, and expels flatus.
Clove oil stimulates peristalsis.
When combined in predetermined proportions, they present a POWERFUL concoction that works wonders on stomach health.
How it works
A few drops of Amritdhara help normalize the peristaltic movements - a major cause of stomach discomfort. It is effective in healing stomach bloating and stomach heaviness caused by excessive gas formation.
Directions for use:
For stomach pains, stomach gas or indigestion, add 3-4 drops of herbal Amritdhara to lukewarm water and drink. May be taken thrice a day or even hourly in case of acute cases.
For greater effect, the Amritdhara drops may be added to a decoction of fennel seeds (saunf).
Soon after intake, you should experience a relief in symptoms such as an urge to release stomach gas, or a subsiding of stomach pains and abdominal bloating.
The most important benefit is the absence of any side effect when taken in recommended dosage. It should not effect the body adversely. However, in the extreme unlikely event of an undesired effect, please discontinue use.

Non-medical Leg Cramp PreventionReply to this Comment
Add an extra half-folded blanket from the foot of the bed, to top of the thighs, fold to double over the legs.
More important in winter.
Given to me by a friend who cared for his mother. My mother, after years of cramps and Quinine pills, her last ten years never revealed a single day of leg cramps.

renal issuesReply to this Comment
I would NOT call that renal failure. Is this one good (100 percent) kidney and 20 % of the other? That is do-able and I live with that too. 15% and 100. To have ANY percentage of kidneys is a blessing. Avoid the toxins that affect our kidnesy and all should be well. What does his urologist say? Get permission to be "kept in the loop.' ratehr than to worry.
pains in legs Reply to this Comment
I also have pains in joints and muscles--feels like little knives in thighs, have pains in knees, hips, lower back, ankles, bottoms of feet, toes tops of feet, calves, sometimes my neck and shoulders. I have heaviness in thighs as well as stomach and can walk about 50 feet (if that) before I have to stop and rest. Going to Doctor this Monday, but was wondering if this sounds like fibromyalgia ?? Have restless legs and in the beginning it was just in my legs, later it seemed to spread to my back and stomach and arms. Does any of this sound anything like anyone else ever had??
Leg CrampsReply to this Comment
I have several customers who suffer from leg cramps and they have reported back to me that taking Australian Emu Oil Capsules daily and topically massaging Australian Emu Oil into the affected area has drastically reduced the problem and in many cases has totally eradicated the problem. Try Pure Australian Emu Oil a totally natural product.
abdominal pain and bloatingReply to this Comment
I would advise anyone with constant abdominal pain and bloating to either have a test for Celiac Disease, or go on an elimination diet to rule out wheat/gluten intolerance, and/or lactose inlolerance. An estimated 1 in 133 people have this condition, and most of them do not know it. After eating wheat/gluten/lactose my entire life, my body is now rejecting these foods. I now feel better, no more stomach pain, and I am regaining strength and energy daily, as the villi in my stomach heals. My body is finally starting to process my food correctly and I am now getting the nutrients my body needs.
