SENIOR MOMENTS AND MEMORY LOSS

Our brain is nothing but a large muscle and we can keep it healthy by taking care of it through exercise and motivation. From the given points below, make an effort to try at least four points everyday.
- Make an effort to finish Sudoko, name puzzle or any other brainteaser everyday.
- Try numbering the things that you do not want to forget. For example, if you need to buy bread, cheese and butter in the shop keep in mind that you have to buy at least three items and continue to repeat them in your mind until and unless you have purchased these items.
- Connection of words – You may have a co-worker called Fred Smith whose name you just can seem to remember properly and you always refer to him as Furry Socks as both the names have the same initials F and S. The laugh that you have over ‘Furry Socks’ may make you remember of Fred Smith. Make sure that you do not say this loudly or else you will lose a buddy.
- Verify your supermarket bill or credit card in order to prevent any error from happening and also to save your money. If you add these without using a calculator, you will find that you are doing well with it after a few weeks.
- Give small duties to yourself. For instance instead of going to your hidden prompt for your PIN numbers, memorize the numbers. Once you have it memorized, you will be very proud of yourself, as you do not have to go through the hidden prompt again.
There is no need to be worried about anything. Accept the encouragement given by your friends and co-workers and continue making your mind strong.
One essential point, which we should never forget about stress and its side effects, is that it will be difficult for us to be rational if we are more stressed and nervous regardless of the age.
