Dear ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE, (RE: ACTIVITIES): For over twenty-five years The Young and the Restofus has been a national retail leader of well-known women's clothing, jewelry and accessories specifically tailored for the mature customer. Our founder discovered a true void existed in the apparel needs of the mature women. Knowing that sometimes it was difficult for these women to shop for themselves, the company decided to take the show on the road. The original name of our company was “The Traveling Trunk Show”. We now bring women’s apparel, jewelry and accessories to our customers by traveling to hundreds of communities such as retirement homes, 55 and over communities, Country clubs and mobile home parks etc. all over the United States. Some of the homes that welcome us today are Classic Residence by Hyatt, Holiday Homes, Chandler Villas, Brittany Park, San Francisco Towers, Del Webb, Carlsbad by the Sea and many more. By bringing our clothing and accessories directly to our customers with prices starting at $19.00 and up depending on the brand name and jewelry starting at $5.00 and up accessories at $8.00 and up, this all allows our customers to shop in the comfort and convenience of their homes. The company’s paramount objective is to always provide apparel that is functional, attractive, comfortable and carefree at very competitive prices. Our assortments include merchandise from well-known national manufacturers such as Alfred Dunner of New York, Graff California Wear and our own private label, The Young and the Restofus. Our company also features a large assortment of products tailored to the world renowned "Red Hat Society". Our apparel and accessories are comprised of easy care, elegant designs, beautiful fabrics, timeless styling and a vast array of neutrals, brights and prints. We provide “rolling stores” which include a full inventory of apparel, available in sizes for petite, missy and women. Our merchandise has four seasonal changes much like retail stores do. We sell directly to the customer while providing a very special service/ activity for our customers that they truly enjoy. Our company provides a very unique and exclusive service nationally to retired, active and assisted living communities. We provide full retail stores in custom designed vehicles and orchestrate a "Fashion Experience" (fashion show, personal shopping party, trunk show) utilizing the residence as models and create a fun and enjoyable activity. These "Fashion Experiences" usually begin around 10:00 a.m. and end at approximately 5:00 p.m. although the dates and times are flexible to meet the community’s needs. We have a consultant in your area, and we would love to put on a FREE fashion show or shopping day for your residents.
