Often our feelings are awash with great anguish
and sorrow not only for the one who is gone but also for ourselves. We
relive memories and recount last moments or contacts hoping beyond hope
that it is all a dream. Though in the end reality can only be what it
is.
Dealing with loss is something that nearly all adults have dealt with.
We know the pangs of regret and we all have developed our own methods
for handling these situations. Unfortunately though, not all of us deal
with our losses in the best way. For some people, thoughts of self
destruction dominate our mindscape and it is very easy for one to feel
that this is the only way to relieve our pains, while others may seek
to numb their senses through a variety of ultimately unhealthy
practices.
Coping is not easy. It can take days or a lifetime to accomplish. The
most important thing is that you do it constructively. Often the best
way to cope with loss is to be with friends and family as they are the
ones who share the same loss. Together, you can support each other.
There are also various groups that you can join that will contain
people who have endured the same kind of tragedy that you have. Talking
to people who share you loss and understand what you are going through
can offer moral support and that is the best and most constructive way
to deal with the loss of a loved one.

Very strong and informative article. Do you have list of some of the groups that help with loss? I am sure that would be beneficial.
