Do not be discouraged that you cannot do everything you used to do by yourself. Do not think that you are less independent if you ask someone to help you with some basic chores. Most of all, do not hesitate to seek help. There is a lot of it available. Your task is to find out where to get it. Here are some tips about the kinds of help available to senior citizens.

Hi, I have a BA in ecercise science,CPR/first aide certifications, and I have volunteered in a retiement home in Kerrville, TX. assisting the activities directorswith games, festivities,etc. I was wondering if your activities department was hiring. It is awesome and loads of fun to make others smile and have an enjoyable time.

I have worked for Leslie Lakes Retirement Center for over 2 years and would like to say it is by far the best nursing facility to work in in the northern part of Louisiana. I have been to other facilities but have never seen the support from Owners, such as Mr. Prince and his beautiful wife, that I see at Leslie Lakes. I am impressed by the original care and concern they show toward the elderly in their facility. For example; The Princes have come to the facility and stayed the entire day helping out with the work load. Now if that isn't concern for mankind I don't know what is!

I am looking for an Activity Assistant in a nursing/retirement home facility. I've worked in a couple of facilities back home (Hawaii) in the Dietary department and I really enjoyed when we participated in the resident's activities. I have alot of experience working with seniors and some experience working in activities also. I would like to give back to society especially to our seniors. Thank you

hi, i live in ireland and just received the same email only pretended that this company was in the states and he needed somebody in ireland to cash his cheques. every american cheque and american traveller cheque can be cashed in europe as well. its all lies and its most likely a nigerian scam. just thought to let you know as well.
