Tax on social securityReply to this Comment
Are you aware that in 1992, Bill Clinton approved a tax of 85% on most social security benefits. The calculation does not take into account medical costs, taxes or any other deductions. Most seniors pay this without knowing about it. Please write your Senators and Representatives to get this tax repealed. The Bush tax plan does not eliminate this tax. Seniors need to have a stronger voice on matters that affect us.
social securityReply to this Comment
Not only do we object to the high rate of taxes on social security, but we feel that who represent us in government should suggest a better method to prevent the collapse of the system (and MEDICARE) without benefitting the wealthy...and to assist those who are middle or low income. Seniors need better representation!
