When a person is unable to communicate their wishes as to
extraordinary life saving procedures, a Living Will can do this for
them.
A Living Will only becomes operational in the event
that your medical condition prevents you from discussing any decisions
that likely will need to be made. Should the doctor be placed in a
difficult position as to a person’s medical treatment in extreme
circumstances, a Living Will can be extremely helpful. The person
making a Living Will would be well advised to provide their doctor and
legal advisor with a copy of the document.
