The correct phone number for Spring Creek is (717) 565-7000. The 558-1000 number is the old number and has been disconnected.

our parent is living here and the care is horrible!! The food is even worse. Another problem, they don't even try to put people together that still have their minds. It is very sad that there is not one other person on my parents floor that they are able to carry a conversation with. The homes doctor is not willing to come in to see residents when needed! The lifts used to move residents break down all the time, thus residents aren't taken out of bed. They get a real bath only once a week!!! The list goes on and on. It really breaks our hearts at the lack of care at Spring Creek.

Our family just buried one of Spring Creek's residents. The care was horrible, our relative actually prayed to DIE because she lived in such miserable conditions. She complained of the food and the lack of personal care. She was denied a quality of life along with the expected resources that a bonified nursing facility in PA should have been able to provide. Her living conditions were more than deplorable. When visiting we knew that she had not been cared for. Many times she was left lying in her own waste. It was useless to complain because no one cared or listened.

I used to work there and I know for a fact that this is messed up place. They do not staff well, therefore the quality of care is poor. I had to leave because I couldn't take it working in those conditions. I found a much better place in Mechanicburg. Right on Mt. Allen Dr. Hope this helps!

I recall when this place was the County Home for poor people. Now it is "FOR POFIT" and it is worse than I remember from years ago! Our family member is actually starving to death on what they bring to feed them. Evening meals are not delivered til 7PM!!! On one night it was a peanut butter sandwich and a beverage! Dear God prison population eats better than the dear folks stuck in this hell hole. On a recent afternoon, our family members roommate died. Our family member was using the call bell because the resident that died couldn't get anyone to respond. 15 minutes later someone arrived but it as to late. The resident was dead, body waste was all over the floor. Our family member was not taken out of the room. The smell was horrible, the room was in total confussion. Then the dead persons family was called to come to pay their respects. All while our loved one was curtained off in a corner. Don't they realise how depressing this is on the room mate that is still there. Our family member is still fully aware of everything around them and can carry on wonderful conversations. But they are left in bed for days and not taken out of the room! We just don't understand how they are able to get away with this. Thank heavens we have family that are able to go visit every day. But that does not make up for the total lack of a quality of life. Dogs & cats are treated much better than the residents of this nursing home.
