Haiku -- an unrhymed Japanese lyric poem having a fixed three-line form consisting of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively.

I beleive you can
Do you beleive you cannot?
Let's see who is right.

The Keyboards letters
Typewriter or computer
Makes work easier

Writing these Haikus
Is starting to strain my brain
I think i wrote enough

This is a Haiku
It's written for me and you
Not supposed to rhyme

I'll try once again
To write another Haiku
There, see I did it

Put your mind to it
Haikus are easy to write
Just think a little

OK I will stop
I think that's the last Haiku
That will end this page

Look at that beautiful sky
White clouds showing underneath
Are the stars hiding?

The Green grass growing
Look like it's time for mowing
Something i don't do

What is that power?
Only the Niagra Falls
Surely can't go up

Snowing at christmas
A child opening presents
What a happy sight

OH say can you see
is a song we all noel
Like a jingle bell

My beautiful car
It can take me very far
But i like it here

See that butterfly
A caterpillar can't fly
He doesn't have wings

See the waves ripple
A sailboat on the water
Makes it so cool

A hot summer day
A pitcher and a batter
Oh, what a challenge

A hot summer day
A cookout in the backyard
Swimming in the pool

Writing poetry
That has humor is for me
That is what I like

Like a forest stilled
By winter’s gentle, white peace,
May Christmas keep you.

Still-tepid sunsets
Spread a second hope of gold
Over browning fields.

Thinly-hung yellow,
Bent-over stalks no longer
Divide shifting winds…

Fading leaves quiver
With ornate and brief display—
Hungry ground below.

Few left are russets
Clinging to thin, snowy twigs
That snap with a puff.

The full moon chills low
On whitened glass at midnight
Dreaming of rebirth.

Sweet scented roses
Delicate in appearence
Claw hands of tender.

Willow weeps alone
when cormorants fly away
autumn chills the air.

Gulls coast through the sky
descend thermals to become
nature's hang-gliders.

Lightning veins the sky
Invites drumming of thunder
Scent of rain in air.
