True Love
- from her book Family Life & Other Strife
-- by Linda Sultan- Copyright 2000 -- lsultan@juno.com

I must be getting older.
I noticed yesterday
The battle heating up between
The brown hair and the gray.

I must be getting older.
I think I see the signs.
It's possible I've spotted
Microscopic aging lines.

I must be getting older.
I now remember when
Policemen didn't look like kids,
They looked like nice old men.

I must be getting older.
No longer do I doubt
My body looks much better
With my clothes on than without.

My husband says that all my fears
Are just a state of mind.
It's nice to know, at this late date,
That love is really blind.
