Frigid winds blow over my mind
evoking memories
some covered in rime and webs,
others glittering like the morning dew.
A collage held together by aging sinew of my mind.
Beloved Mother, whose smile would light a room
whose laughter was like music,
whose crying made my blood run cold
piercing the primeval core of me.
Riding the rainbow across the inside of my skull,
my babies faces, cherubs, precious flowers
in the summer of their youth
my budding adulthood......
The wind blows colder
black scenes erupt,
go away—I paid the dues,
Dark Rider, I paid the dues.
My beloved Aunt, a face of love.
Her tiny wonderful face
a radiant smile
as we placed her in her own bed,
her own room
for a short season
then her celestial trip was booked.
Harbingers of the past
visit me in retro time....
Glittery shards flash in two four time
the ever evasive brass ring......
