What a moment we have here
golden reflections from the living room walls
that resemble the cover of
Every Good Boy Deserves Favor.
The shear wonder in those eyes
as Disney characters are released
from their well preserved cardboard prisons
to dance with other finely crafted pieces.
A moment of time of space
smells and senses
flooded by two thousand years
of annually unsurpassed magic.
A moment that by its very nature
never grows old
for those very eyes are forever young
whether the first or one hundred and first.
A moment shared
where together with task completed
all paused to drink the blend of their creation.
And tipsy from its powerful embrace,
all pause for a reverent "Thank you"
for such moments provide
a hearth of wealth of calm, intimate images
worthy of the lifetime they last.
