Through The Years
-- by Linda LaRae Adsitt Copyright 1998 -- trout@televar.com

When young we start to dream our dreams
Of horizons in the sky.
So many things to do and buy,
No moment to ask why.

With moonlight jobs and overtime,
We'll reach these happy goals.
Through the years no time to rhyme,
Must strife to fill our rolls.

No time to smell a rose or two,
Or enjoy a quiet day.
No time to smile and hug a friend
And gaze at rainbows ray.

Our day arrives the dream is here,
We've bought out all the stores.
We have it all, Our house is full
We've filled up all the floors.

The choice was ours, We stuck the course,
Oh yes we did prevail,
The signs are up, The tables full.
It's time for our yard sale.
