Christmas Memories
-- by Melba Wallace - Copyright 1998 -- meljoy@brightok.net

Christmas was an adventure
When I was a young girl.
My sister and brothers came home
From all around the world.

There were apples and oranges
In our stockings to eat
And hard ribbon candy to munch on;
What a treat!

We only had one present
Underneath our Christmas tree,
But we cherished that gift
And our eyes shown with glee.

If I could go back
To any time or place,
I'd go back to my childhood
And its memories I'd embrace.
